Depression Therapist in San Francisco
Specialized treatment to help you break free from depression, build self-compassion, and feel like yourself again.
Do you feel trapped in an endless cycle of joylessness and emotional exhaustion?
Depression can feel like being trapped in a fog - a feeling of heaviness, despair, and emotional depletion. Each day becomes an overwhelming struggle as you strain to fulfill even basic responsibilities or find a glimmer of joy.
Self-doubt and a sense of worthlessness cast a shadow over your self-perception, leading you to question your value and purpose. The symptoms of depression touch every corner of your life, hindering you from engaging with the people and pursuits that once brought happiness and meaning.
You may find yourself withdrawing from loved ones, losing motivation at work, or abandoning the hobbies and goals that used to light you up inside. Isolation only amplifies the pain, reinforcing the belief that you're alone in your struggle.
How Therapy Can Help Your Reclaim Your Life
The goal is for you to have that moment where you realize that you feel like yourself again: where you’re enjoying what you’re doing, feeling connected to other people and the world around you, and have rediscovered the energy that you’ve been missing.
Through our work together, we’ll develop new ways of managing your symptoms, find ways to build your self-esteem, and help you regain your motivation and enthusiasm for activities and relationships that you once enjoyed.
In therapy, we’ll aim to:
Understand the underlying causes and triggers of your depression
Identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs
Cultivate self-compassion and a more balanced self-perception
Implement self-care strategies and lifestyle changes to support mood regulation
Build coping skills to navigate challenges and setbacks
Improve communication and assertiveness in relationships
Develop a personalized relapse prevention plan for ongoing well-being

You'll learn effective coping skills to manage stress, navigate challenges, and regulate your emotions, while also developing a personalized self-care plan to support your ongoing mental health.
